The Sue ChefCharlie: A good man done wrong

The first time a friend of ours, a no-nonsense gal who loved Charlie, saw the Neila's Silly Ass video, she cried, saying, "Oh my God! Poor Charlie! Has she a clue how harmful her behavior is?"

I often wonder that myself. Is she totally oblivious? Are there shreds of awareness and self-doubt? Is there substantial awareness, yet she pushes on? Who knows? I sure don't.

While watching a "reaction video" one evening, it occurred to me that Neila's Silly Ass might be interesting reaction vid fodder. It would seem I was correct.

For those not familiar with reaction vids, they generally involve recording a learned person's reactions to material that triggers their emotions. Among my gold standards in the field are a vocal coach blown away by an astonishing Devin Townsend performance and a classical composer floored by Dream Theater's unequalled masterpiece Octavarium.

The better works earn massive viewership on the interwebs and go viral in hours.

We are harvesting reactions to the Neila's Silly Ass video from a variety of professionals involved in senior care ranging from geriatricians and gerontologists to psychologists and health care workers to attorneys and EMTs.

We then expanded to include reactions from Dad's counterparts - regular ol' senior citizens - which may turn out to be the best ones.

Let's just say for now that Neila is faring poorly in this challenge.

When production is complete, the videos will be found in the Media section. I much expect they will be greatly worth your time.
